That is just a little too wordy and pretentious for me. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s call it: \u201creading the prospects mind\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019ll give you an example. Let\u2019s say I\u2019m over-weight and I\u2019m\nworking out and I\u2019m trying to create a diet that I like which I can stick to,\nand I\u2019m upset because I\u2019m having to eat food that I hate and can\u2019t have food\nthat I love. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If I saw an ad that said: \u201cDo you want a diet that won\u2019t\nmake you gain weight, but is still delicious? Our cookbook has all your\nfavorite (like cauliflower crust pizza) recipes but with fewer calories by\nusing clever health substitutions you won\u2019t even notice!\u201c, I would be instantly\ninterested! Why? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because they literally spoke EXACTLY to me and my needs,\nfears and problems! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What does this have to do with you? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The purpose of your home page is to build desire and trust. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can do that by communicating the prospect\u2019s reality to\nthem. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Read their mind, and tell them what is on their mind. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is utterly essential if you want your home page to get\nyou leads and sales. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You need just a few pieces of information. Here is an\nover-simplification of what you need: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>What is the SPECIFIC unmet need or problem,\nworded correctly<\/li><li>What does he fear will occur if he doesn\u2019t get\nit solved?<\/li><li>If that unmet need is satisfied, what will he\nfeel, have, and be able to do?<\/li><li>What are the top three roadblocks in his mind\nthat are stopping him from buying your product or service&nbsp; <\/li><li>The name or description of himself as an\naudience (I\u2019m a home-buyer, I\u2019m a part-time entrepreneur)<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Where to get the information<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You need to get that information from your target audience\nand your past customers. You can call or email your past customers and ask them\nto do the survey above. If you\u2019re having a hard time getting them done, you can\ntry giving them incentives like coupons. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It will take some time and continued determination to get the information. Don\u2019t stop until you have surveyed at least one hundred.  And there are more than just the five points above. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Time spent doing this will pay off BIG time in the long run. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Your website will be its MOST effective when you can say to the visitor what he is already thinking.
