Part Two

In last week’s article we focused on the various reasons that business owners have for using a personal Facebook page for their company and not a business page. In Part Two of this series we will counter all of those points and in Part Three we will highlight additional benefits of using a business page. Let’s begin.

Misconception 1:

It’s easy to get more ‘fans’ because I can just add them as friends!

Answer:

Actually personal Facebook accounts have a limit of 5000 friends, whereas business pages can have millions upon millions of friends.

Misconception 2:

I’m better off keeping my personal page because I’ll have to start from ‘zero fans’ if I make a business page.

Answer:

Although you do start with zero fans/friends for your new business page you can invite ALL of your friends to become fans. And in addition to that you can use your personal account to send messages directly to all of your friends to ‘please like my new page’. In this way you can get up to 100 – 200 ‘likes’ in very short time.

Misconception 3:

I can send messages to all my friends and I can’t on the business page.

Answer:

A business page can receive messages from anyone, and once it does you can correspond with them. However, you cannot be the first to send a message. This may be the only down-side of a business page but certainly not enough to deter one from making the switch.

Misconception 4:

Personal pages are free and business pages cost money.

Answer

Business pages are absolutely free however there are additional services which you can pay for such as ‘promoted posts’ and ‘ads’ which provide the business owner an active and workable way of reaching more users and getting more ‘likes’.

Misconception 5:

Its so hard to get ‘likes’ / ‘fans’ for business pages.

Answer:

Absolutely false! There are many effective methods one can implement in order to get likes and they don’t have to involve paid ads or promoted posts either. From contests and flyers to posting interesting pictures, you are only limited by your imagination.

Misconception 6:

Business pages are complex and harder to use than my personal page

Answer:

While it is true that a business page is busier than a personal page it is only because there is much more to manage than on a personal page. For instance you have your own analytics system where you can see who your demographics are and your ‘likes’ and ‘reaches’ statistics day by day.

Business owners will find the dashboard for business pages busier but still very intuitive and easy to use.

More to Come

In Part Three of this series we will dive in to some of the more wicked and newer features that you can utilize for your company by using a Facebook business page.

In last week’s article we focused on the various reasons that business owners have for using a personal Facebook page…

[54,52,51
43
post-224","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-facebook-2","category-promotion","category-social-media-2","tag-facebook
["GET
