They are after our bank account info, logins, passwords and more. But we\u2019re not gonna let them have it!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fly-by-Night SEO<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>These scammers like to call your office and clamor away, saying how they\u2019ll get your site to #1 in Google, no problem, 100% guaranteed. Their SEO methods are considered \u2018black hat\u2019 by Google and will eventually result with your site being black-listed and penalized from the search engines. Real SEO takes a long time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fake Hot Spots<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A criminal with a laptop and a hot spot can easily \u2018mimic\u2019 or copy a trusted hotspot (Starbucks, Boingo, Google) with ease. They can look exactly the same. How do you detect such treachery? They are very hard to detect. The URLs of the hotspot will not have official domains and will look irregular, but then again hotspot URLs typically look irregular. Your best bet is get your own portable wifi.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Domain Registration Expiration<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A popular email scam indeed. Scammers scour the WHOIS database looking for domains and their respective domain owner\u2019s emails. They then send out emails claiming that their domain is about to expire and they must take action right away, to prevent losing the domain. All they want is your credit card info. It is easily spotted, as the domain from which these emails come from is never official<\/p>\n<p><strong>Apple Account<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A popular email scam these days, the email reads with a subject of: \u2018Your account will be closed within 24 hours please verify your account\u2019. The scammers even go to the trouble of getting an almost\/quasi official-sounding email &amp; domain, such as: <a href=\"mailto:verification@id-apple-support.com\">verification@id-apple-support.com<\/a> But don\u2019t be fooled! Delete these emails right away and pay no heed to their claims.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bank of America Account <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Another popular email scam, mimics account alert emails from Bank of America. They go as follows: \u201cThere\u2019s been a problem, and you need to call right away with some account information\u201d.
