Not just ONE photo will do! Oh no! Don’t think you’re off the hook by just throwing one real picture of the owner on the home page! We are just getting started!
That’s great we’ve got you off the stock photo addiction, we even got you to put a face on the home page!
But it doesn’t stop there, we must go further!
As we said above, people want to do business with people.
This is human nature.
Now that we know that, let’s not just do the bare minimum and ‘tick off the box’ of ‘humanify the website with a photo of a human’ oh no, no, no. That’s not how we do things. We’re ninjas.
We’re not going to do the bare minimum, we’re going to double down, and use this fact to our advantage:
- photo of owner, introduction
- photos of the team
- photo of the office interior, preferably with the team working
- photo of the office exterior
- photo of the staff with a real customer
Team
It doesn’t have to be EVERY employee. I leave this up to you. It could be the top 5 executives, it could be one employee from each department, or, yes it could literally be everyone. The choice is yours. Regardless, putting the owner is not enough, you need to put the team! Name and job title, nothing else is required. You don’t need to put their hobbies, fears, favorite food and marital status. Just photo, name, title.
Offices
If you’re working in your mom’s garage, then, let’s put a pin in this one for now. Otherwise, get some nice brightly lit photos of the interior of the office with your team working, smiling, rocking and rolling. Try to have these as candid action shots, not rigor-mortis corporate style photos.
Customers
Get some photos of your team working with a customer, and then label that as such on your website. It doesn’t matter if you’re a pizza shop, personal trainer, bookkeeper, Who would want to do business with a company that is too afraid to show themselves, and hiding?
