What to Post on Google Plus

Posted by

Got your Google Plus page for your business created, verified and all set but don’t know what to post about? Fear not, read on to discover a few ideas you can use to start your page rolling.

Your Staff

There is a tremendous potential for un-mined content in your staff (provided that they let you post it). Not only is it untapped content but it also has the special characteristic of building reality with your audience/consumer base. People will be much more amiable with those things that are real to them. Therefore posts which feature your staff (with photos) does a great deal to humanize your business activity.

Posts can include:

1)      Employee of the month
2)      Staff Bios
3)      Past achievements of Staff
4)      Staff Opinion/Editorial pieces, such as product reviews
5)      Employee promotions
6)      New certifications/training for staff

Historical Posts

You may think that past information is completely useless and not useable for posts, but with a little creativity and packaging it could be another gold mine of content. Posts can include: “this time last year”, postings about news, events, product release, etc all from the past. In order to create more interest posts should include some kind of graphic or image.

Unbiased Product Reviews

People love honesty and a smart marketer takes advantage of this fact. By making honest product reviews highlighting the best in products and making sure to also feature the worst, you will build trust with your audience/consumer base. And if your consumer base trusts you then you have then become an authority in their mind on that subject/field, which is invaluable in itself.

What’s New?

Regardless of what kind of company you have you will always have a stream if not a trickle of newly completed projects, new services, new specials or new services. Making posts on these (including photos), is another excellent resource. This is particularly useful for contractors, as they are continuously working on projects. By posting your projects (with photos) you can think of it as an online dynamic portfolio.
