Promoting your website online Part Two

Posted by

Let’s look at some more clever things you can do to increase traffic to your website without spending an arm and a leg.

Guest Blogging

Assuming you’ve been running a business blog and are regularly posting helpful/useful articles you would then have the reputation and production history required to reach out to other blogs in your industry and offer to do a guest blog post on their blog. Guest blogging helps both parties by providing you a venue to reach more people, and provides the receiving blog with fresh and new content. You should ensure in your agreement that you can have a link in your post which points back to your site, that way you can increase your traffic.

Optimize For Local Search

If your website has already been “SEO’d” then that is excellent, however it doesn’t necessarily mean it has been SEO’d for local searches. For instance, people searching for your products and services within your service area who intend to visit your business. Ranking well for these searches will require local SEO work for your site. This is a crucial component for getting traffic to your website and business, however it is not something that we recommend doing yourself as one wrong edit can undo or worsen your current SEO standings. Engage Users

Have a way by which users can contact you for information about your products and services (not necessarily a request for a free estimate). Even with a thorough FAQ page potential customers will still have questions. Therefore, encourage your users to email/contact for information, or post questions on your social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter). The more you can educate your potential customers the more you can build up their interest and confidence in your products/services, so don’t miss any chance to engage them.

Start a Referral Program

A tried, true and tested method of getting more leads is by turning existing customers or clients into ‘salesmen’ so to speak, by giving them some kind of incentive, to tell their family, friends or work associates about your company’s products & services. The better the incentive & the better your products and services the more likely customers will tell their friends, and more likely their friends will purchase them. Incentives can be either money, or free products or free services.
