Creative Content Marketing Ideas

Content Marketing is seldom done with enough creativity and often times is relegated to writing articles and other banality. Let’s take a moment and attempt to think outside the box and look over what content marketing other companies are doing.

Instructional/Tutorial Videos

You should have content in as many medium as possible, not only text. Regardless of what industry your company is in, there are tutorial videos you can make for the public or clients. It is only limited on your creativity. To help you get started try searching on Youtube for topics related to your industry (or even your competitors) and see what comes up.

On another note, you need not any production studio, expensive software or camera in order to make decent videos. Video shot with smart phones is more than sufficient.

If you’re daring enough you can also try creating interesting/curiosa/entertaining videos. Such as the kind you would find on Buzzfeed (top five videos, weird facts, strange experiments, etc).

Infographics

“A visual image such as a chart or diagram used to represent information or data.” To make them more catchy and interesting they are designed to be like eye-candy which prompts people to share them and subsequently increasing your traffic and links.

You are essentially creating art with information. Done properly it can garner attention. If you don’t have a graphic designer then reach out to friends and associates for help.

Recycle Content

If you’re having a rough go of it and don’t want to invest too much time and energy into the creation of new content, then you can always take your old or existing content and ‘re-boot’ it with a new angle, presentation and life. This is relatively easy to do and does not require much thinking-outside-the-box.

Original Research

There are two ways you can approach original research. You can develop it from scratch by yourself. Or you can write articles on already developed research and simply discuss it, its relevance, application, etc. This gives one the ability to find new and interesting things to talk about, without having to create it all by yourself.
