One: Project Completion
At the completion of a job have the technician or sales person, ask for a review right then, either just before the customer pays or just after they pay.
Two: Follow up
For those who did not do a review after completing the job, you MUST send an email request, later that day, with a link to your Google My Business page. Send another follow up email one week later.
Three : Email Blast & Follow up
Send an email blast to ALL customers, asking for a review. Do them one at a time if you have to, or use Mailchimp to do a bulk send.
Four: Piggy-back off newsletters
All your newsletters and promotional emails should have a prominent link at the bottom, which asks the reader to give you a review on Google. Fast to implement, free and runs on automatic.
Five: Excavate old lists
Call and email everyone who ever did a testimonial, telling them that you recently saw their awesome testimonial and you wanted to thank them and ask them if they could write that testimonial again, but this time as a Google Review.
Six: Text message blast & follow up
Send a text message blast to all your customers asking for a review, one at a time or using a platform like Twilio. Then do a follow up to nudge those who didn’t do it.
Seven: ask on the phone
Drill your customer service reps and sales reps to start asking for reviews any time they are on the phone with your customers. Have them send a post-call email with a link to your Google My Business page.
